in a rut

I called my wife at work this morning, just to talk about nothing. The reason is one that I think only a full time stay at home parent can understand.

Its a mix of repeatedness, boredom, doing 'kid things' all day, responsibility overload, and a myriad of other things. Just like any constant task(s) in life, when you do it long enough, it wears you down. I just wanted to talk about it (oh! how un-manly!!).

Thats not to say that I'm not totally thankful that I'm able to stay at home with my son all day, but there are times when it just gets to be very overwhelming, and to be honest, quite dull at times.
